Lists of Ships under
Port State Control Detention
in Hong Kong, China
Purpose
In addition to Port State Control (PSC) inspections, publication
of PSC detention lists is considered to be an effective
measure in eliminating sub-standard shipping. The Port
State Control Committee of the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) has decided that the regional PSC detention lists
will be published, upon having the majority of members
connected to Asia-Pacific Port State Computer Information
System. Detention lists published by individual members
of Tokyo MOU for their own ports will supplement the consolidated
detention list of Tokyo MOU, when published.
Frequency of Updating
Hong Kong publishes the PSC detention on a monthly basis
and uploads the list to this site in the middle of the
next month.
Viewing the Lists
The monthly detention lists are in PDF (Portable Document
Format). To view and print them, you need to download
and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 which is a free
viewer distributed at Adobe's web site (http://www.adobe.com).
